BRIXLEGG GOES MULTI-MODAL
Brixlegg is located in the Lower Inn Valley, at the foot of the Alpbachtal, in Tyrol, Austria, with a population of roughly 2000. The Brixlegg Station is a multi-modal public transport hub, whose main attraction via public transportation is the arrival of visitors for the yearly Forum Alpbach, in the neighboring town of Alpbach.
The principal design scheme of the Brixlegg station is its underlying grid, spanning 2,20 × 2.20m throughout the whole station, on which architectural elements are scaled. As needed, the grid network is extendable and multiplicative, providing the ease of a later expansion or insertion of new architectural elements within a logical framework.
